If a post didn't go out or you're seeing an error, it's almost always down to one of these causes. Check them in order.
1. The account connection expired
Social networks ask you to re-authorize access every so often. When that happens, Planer can't publish.
- Go to Accounts and check whether any of them shows a warning.
- If so, follow the guide to reconnect accounts.
2. The account isn't professional
To publish automatically to Instagram, the account has to be professional (business or creator) and linked to a Facebook Page.
With a personal account, Instagram doesn't allow automatic publishing. Switch it to professional and connect it again.
3. The content doesn't meet the requirements
Each network has format rules. The most frequent reasons:
- The video is too long or too large.
- The image has an aspect ratio that isn't allowed.
- The caption goes over the character limit.
- Media is missing for a format that requires it (for example, a reel without a video).
4. You hit a platform limit
Networks limit how many posts you can make in a given period. If you've posted a lot in a short time, wait a while and try again.
5. A temporary problem on the social network
Sometimes the failure is on the platform's side, not yours. If none of the above applies:
- Wait a few minutes.
- Schedule the post again.
- Check its status on the calendar.
